The Kockpit Safe is designed to improve pilot safety.
Every year, fatalities occur because pilots forget to fasten their thigh straps. Analysis of accidents shows that this oversight is often due to the presence of an instrument panel that obscures the straps, leading the pilot to believe that they are fastened. Today, there are various "anti-forget" systems built into harnesses, but these do not take into account the presence of a ventral container.
The Kockpit Safe is the first instrument holder to incorporate this technology, which was previously reserved for harnesses, as its unique attachment system allows one of the leg loops to be connected to the two main links. Once the Kockpit Safe is attached, the pilot can no longer fall out of their harness.
