Matt JANTZEN
Adventure Team
Matt is an outdoor sports leadership student at Le Bourget-du-Lac. At 18 years old, he has been flying for 2 and a half years across the Alps and the Vosges, where he first took flight. He already has countless ambitious projects in mind: hike & fly, paralpinism, cross-country, vol-bivouac, and Nepal in 2026.
Matt on Kortel Design:
I recently started using the Kliff III harness and the Kompact bag from Kortel. Since my main activity is hike and fly, they are the ideal companions for me. The combo of both products allows me to hike up light to launch even with my XC wing. The Kompact serves as a concertina bag when I fly with a pod on big days, and I convert it into a backpack to go cover some distance in the evening sitting in my Kliff III. Lightweight, minimalist and versatile are, in my view, the three adjectives that best describe these two products, perfectly matching my vision of free flight. In short, I am thrilled to combine lightness on the hike up with uncompromised comfort on the way down.
