The Karver is the result of more than a year of development. The primary objective was to create a harness from scratch, rather than simply modifying a harness to adapt it to this sport.
Since speedriding combines several types of snow sports, we drew inspiration from several existing concepts. The Karver could be described as a fusion of a light harness , a skydiving harness, and a kite harness.
But theKarverisultimately more than just a combination of these three products. It isan innovative concept in its own right. It is quite simply the first harness without shoulder straps. In fact, the shoulder straps are only used to carry the harness takeoff. They do not contribute to the comfort of the harness, as the back support is completely independent of the shoulder straps.
The Karver is a harness , so shoulder straps are no longer necessary. We simply removed them. To prevent the harness slipping and to ensure the pilot's safety in the rare event of a head-first roll, we have integrateda lumbar belt.
In practice, it turns out that the Karver ismuch morethan just a harness . Its surprising comfort, modularity, and the feeling of freedom it provides also make itperfect for classic paragliding, for those who do not want back protection at all costs.
- The lumbar belt buckle is a new generation interlocking buckle that is easy to put on and take off, even with gloves. No need to put the buckle through and force the way through. The same goes for unlocking it, a simple gesture is enough.
- Thanks to its automatic leg loops, the Karver is easy to put on in any situation, even with skis: there are no leg loops to put on.
- These automatic buckles are designed to be used in snow. The red locking tab is easily visible, snow is easy to remove, and if the buckle freezes, it will be in the closed position, so it is safe. But be sure to always check that the buckle is locked before you take off!
- A backpack for tandem rescue was made on request of professional pilots who absolutely want to benefit from the advantages of the Karver for their practice (see photos below).
