PWC Kopaonik - Serbia

Kopaonik, Serbia: 10 to 17 July 2021.

The World Cup in Kopaonik, Serbia, from 10 to 17 July, will close the qualifying rounds of the 2019-2021 season. For many, it will be a last chance to qualify for the super final.

Kopaonik, is the largest mountain range in Serbia, and stretches 80km from the northwest to the southeast of this beautiful country. To reflect and protect its rich biodiversity, the Kopaonik mountain range was granted national park status in 1981. The flying area combines dense coniferous forests with pastures and meadows, with the highest peaks around 2000m. After a very successful World Cup in Kopaonik in 2013, our return is long overdue and eagerly awaited by those who have fond memories of a mix of conditions for all tastes.
The recent World Cup in Gemona saw 38 AA pilots participate, the highest quality of pilots we have ever seen. Kopaonik 2021, meanwhile, will see the largest number of pilots born in this century compete. Could 21 year old Simon METTETAL, the best placed Gemona pilot, take off with the title? As for the larger-than-life personalities, there will be at least 38 of them taking to the skies!
Julien WIRTZ was 4th in 2013. He will be enthusiastic, and more than capable of winning. Flying towards the first places of the Kortel team: Baptiste LAMBERT, Rémi BOURDELLE and Arthur MOINDROT.
