Nicolas PLAIN
Team adventure
Nicolas is a scientist and a paragliding pilot dedicated to the protection of our beautiful planet! It communicates his work in these areas and disseminates concrete and local citizen solutions to create a more sustainable and fairer world!
To do this, he uses his paraglider to gain height and discover beautiful landscapes and ecosystems, alone or accompanied! It was in this framework that he created in 2015 the group "En l'air pour la Terre" with a new form of innovative communication to share the scientific knowledge on these topics: simple and impressive short interviews of experts in tandem paragliding flight!
Along those lines, he puts together in 2019 a TV series in 2019 called "Il faut sauver les Alpes" which will be broadcast on Ushuaia TV with a teaser at the Cannes Film Festival 2019 and a full participation in 2020.
The WebSeries "Travelling through the Alps" focuses on the distance flight and bivouac/hike flight which enables us to discover the Alps as seen from above with a complete crossing during the summer 2019.
He is also a accomplished acrobatic pilot (7th in the French Championship 2017), an ULM instructor and a tandem-qualified pilot to enable him to share his passion!

- For speedriding
- For combos that combine speed/cross and snowkiting
- For cross-country flights also when I did not yet have the Kolibri.
- For snowkiting!
It really is a versatile harness! To start keep the frontal strap tight and it's great not to have shoulder straps for freedom of movement
- Cross and flight / bivouac / hike : Kortel Kolibri: great with a lot of storage and super comfortable in flight !
- Kruyer 2 for Alpi flying / solo or tandem hiking, very light with excellent comfort / resistance for this type of harness

Your best flight?
- Clearly one of my most memorable flights is the one in the Ecrins with all my buddies! On that day, 5 of us took off from Vallouise with ceilings at 4500 m above the massif of the Ecrins allowing us to fly over the big bar of the Ecrins, the Pelvoux, the Meije, the finger of God for a memorable flight to meet all together above beautiful landscapes in ideal conditions!
- And of course the combo we made with Guillaume Broust and Antoine Boisselier combining in the same afternoon a cross-country flight Chartreuse-Belledonne, speedriding and skiing!
- Alpine paragliding: the flight from the Mont Blanc between sunrise and full moon from the refuge Vallot! (film in preparation)
- Speedriding flights of course with a perfect mix of flying and skiing
Any plans?
- Start of a WebSeries on the cross-country/bivouac flight called "Travelling through the Alps" which takes us over the most beautiful landscapes of the Alps and the various possible flights! This one should normally be complete this summer with a crossing of the Alps over several days/weeks (depending on the weather! 😊)
- As a continuation of the group "En l'air pour la Terre", which we had created in 2015, creation of a new TV series to be broadcast on Ushuaia TV "Il Faut Sauver les Alps" on the environmental protection and the fight against global warming in the Alps with encounters with people who work on these themes through local and concrete initiatives.
A continuation of alpine flying projects to discover our magnificent mountains and more acrobatics training.
